Italian soccer club AC Milan announced Thursday that superstar striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, now 38, has tested positive for coronavirus and is in quarantine at home, with no other team members or positive.
After scoring 11 goals for Milan last season, Ibrahimovic temporarily scored the 2020–21 crusade with 3 goals in his first two games. Ibrahimovic scored twice in Milan’s First Serie A game of the year, making him the league’s most sensible goalscorer after a day of play.
Ibrahimovic approached the news on Twitter with his characteristic bravado and said he had no symptoms.
Ex-English marvel Gary Lineker also had a wonderful reaction to the joke. Unfortunately, not everyone on the Internet is so original.
