Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine was not planning to impose a strict blockade, despite the increased onset of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
According to the news program TSN, in an interview with 4 Ukrainian television channels, the head of state said such restrictions can absolutely impede the Ukrainian economy.
Zelensky said disorders with more medical equipment, doctors and the number of doctors are being implemented lately.
In addition, the president announced the production of a Ukrainian vaccine to combat COVID-19 infection, which has been in progression for more than six months and is currently being tested. “We can’t communicate everything, because we have to go through clinical trials, and it’s true. We’re not allowed. I’ll say [the vaccine] is exclusive. This isn’t pathos or populism. It’s exclusive because it’s not vital that studies have been done, but not in humans,” he said.
At the same time, Zelensky said he may not talk today about the timing of such a vaccine, and if he has a vaccine to deal with COVID-19 before, Ukraine will buy it.
