“Dragon Ball” was first published in the Japanese comic book magazine Weekly Shonen Jump in 1984 before being adapted into movies, video games, and television shows distributed in more than 80 countries.
Its author, Japanese manga author Akira Toriyama, died this month at the age of 68, prompting praise and commemorations from enthusiasts around the world.
