6. Jinsha Site, Sichuan Province
Located in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, the Jinsha site is the urban center of the ancient Shu Kingdom and features the distinctive Shu culture that emerged in the Shang and Zhou dynasties (c. 16th-256th century B. C. ). Their civilization, along with that of Sanxingdui, constituted two of the peaks of progression in Shu’s ancient history.
