Chan said integrating more personal sector organisations into Singpass is a key strategy for the adoption of the service as Singapore emerges from the agony of the pandemic. As a service backed through Singapore’s centralized National Registry Identity Card (NRIC) formula and the highest point of acceptance in government, Singpass has less need to rely on technologies like blockchain to authenticate identities, Chan said.
