This is the first component of a three-component discussion among the leaders of the Asia-Pacific Initiative (IPY) on the geoeconomy surrounding Russia’s war in Ukraine and adjustments in the external order. The discussion involved Principal Yuichi Hosoya, a professor at Keio University. Law School; Ken Jimbo, executive director of the Japan-U. S. Military Statesmen Forum and professor at Keio University; and principal investigator Kazuto Suzuki, a professor at the University of Tokyo.

KS: Since we are having this discussion to commemorate the tenth anniversary of ipY, let’s take a look at its history. In your opinion, what kind of think tank is it, what has it achieved, and what kind of adjustments has it brought to society?
