How would you describe the new collection and what is the inspiration?The new winter collection “Authentic Charme” is a tribute to the beauty of herbs, a must-have item that makes you look and feel beautiful. How does Italy motivate the designs and fabrics of the collection? Everything we produce tastes of Italy and we are incredibly proud of it. We are an Italian company with more than 50 years of history, the first to introduce cashmere yarn in Italy. the products are made in Malo, where the Italian traditions of the art of weaving have been kept intact for more than five decades. Malo in Latin means “to prefer” or to know how to do something special.

How would you describe the color palette? The winter collection follows the brand’s iconic milky white tones (Malo has been dubbed the “white cashmere gentleman”). The palette also includes grays, blues, beige and everlasting brown tones combined with other seasonal shades.

Can you share more main points about textures/materials? We use the best herbal cashmere thread, the “white for white”, derived from hairy goats raised on the bloodless Mongolian plateaus that, thanks to the harsh winter temperatures, create this warm and fluffy undercoat. In addition to cashmere, we use fluffy wool, silk combined with cashmere and other fine fabrics.

Describe the procedure and how long it takes to create the part. Each piece begins with a homemade comic strip by the designer, followed by many steps of care and attention. Malo has preserved the old historic power looms within its production facilities. The weaving procedure allows the yarn not to be under pressure by creating soft, high-quality knitwear.
