The Prince of Wales made a last-minute trip to Kuwait on Sunday to offer his condolences for the death of the country’s leader, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah.
While other people will have to isolate themselves for 14 days after a holiday in a country or territory that is not on the UK corridor list, Charles, 71, will be exempt from those rules because of their role.
According to the UK government’s website, some others are not forced to isolate themselves when they arrive in the UK because of their work.

It is also very likely that Charles had to pass a COVID-19 check before traveling. The British government’s online page reads: “Since August 1, 2020, the government of Kuwait has allowed British citizens to enter Kuwait if they have a valid certificate and a negative PCR check, performed no more than 96 hours before of the acceptance of the flight to Kuwait “.
During his trip to Kuwait, Charles expressed his condolences on behalf of the Queen to the country’s new emir, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah.

The prince met with Kuwait’s prime minister, Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah and the queen’s ambassador to Kuwait, Michael Davenport, and then to Defense Secretary Ben Wallace.
This comes after the 94-year-old monarch sent a message of condolence to Kuwait’s new emir. In a letter, which was shared on the royal family’s Twitter account last Wednesday, the Queen wrote: “I was saddened to be informed of the death of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah.
“His outstanding brother has committed his life to the service of the State of Kuwait and, in particular, his with his allies and friends.
“For a long time, he will be remembered by all who paint for regional stability, between nations and religions, and for the humanitarian cause.

Charles has visited Kuwait seven times before, adding a holiday with Diana, Princess of Wales in 1989, celebrating the 50th anniversary of independence as a guest of the emir in 2011, and more recently his excursion to the Middle East in 2015. tribute to the country in January 2006, following the death of the former emir.

Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, 91, was transferred to a U. S. hospital in July and Bayan Palace announced his death Tuesday.
Sheikh Sabah served as Minister of Foreign Affairs for 38 years, which made Kuwait a force for peace and in the region.
He was also a strong advocate of close friendship between the United Kingdom and Kuwait and between the royal circle of relatives and Kuwait’s circle of ruling relatives.
