Why the series filmed live?
Location aside, this special series from I’m a Celeb has noticed a major replacement for the regular screen: it’s pre-recorded.
The Mirror reported last April that the South Africa special had been filmed as a backup unless Covid restrictions prevented the crew from returning to Australia as usual.
“It’s a brilliant booking plan in case Covid restrictions pass in the autumn and the cast and crew can’t get through, as happened in the last two years,” a source told the newspaper.
It was wonderful while it lasted, but it’s too dark and wet. Everyone has had enough, adding spectators. “

The filming of the South African took position in July 2022.

There will be many more celebrities than initially announced to participate in the series, but the audience will have to look to find out who they are and when they enter the camp.

Is there a public vote?
Because the exhibition was pre-recorded, there is no public vote. Competitors will compete in a war for the first “I am a celebrity legend”.
Where is it filmed in South Africa?
It is filmed in the “toughest and most unforgiving” of South Africa’s Kruger National Park, with the competition facing demanding situations “even bigger and more difficult” than before. Learn more here.

Episodes air at 9 p. m. on weekdays.
