WHO sees ‘green outbreaks of hope’ in the fight against coronaviruses as global instances 20 million

The World Health Organization said Monday that there are flashes of hope in the fight against coronavirus, even as global instances of viruses barely reach 20 million and deaths lead to 750,000.

“I know that many of you are grieving and that this is a difficult time for the world,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at a press conference from the agency’s headquarters in Geneva. “But I have to be clear, there are green outbreaks of hope, and no matter where a country, region, town or city is located, it is never too past because of the Covid-19 epidemic.”

Tedros said some countries in Southeast Asia, New Zealand, Rwanda and the Caribbean and Pacific islands were going to suppress the virus from the start.

France, Germany, South Korea, Spain, Italy and the UK have experienced primary coronavirus outbreaks and have also been to suppress it, he said. He attributed the drop in the rate of new instances in these countries to “strong and precise” measures through leaders such as clean-up orders and hidden orders.

WHO recommends that others wear masks to slow the spread of the virus, wash their hands regularly, stay away from others and from crowded areas.

“In France, President Emmanuel Macron introduced mandatory masking to the crowded spaces of Paris in reaction to the accumulation of cases,” Tedros said.

He said that if countries or regions had managed to get rid of Covid-19, suppressed transmission at a low point or are still in the midst of a primary epidemic, the time has come to “do everything”. “Investing in the basics of public health and we can save lives and livelihoods,” he said.

The United States has the worst epidemic in the world, with more than five million cases and at least 162,900 deaths, according to knowledge compiled through Johns Hopkins University. President Donald Trump has attributed those cases to an increase in evidence. However, disease experts question this claim, saying that the rate of cases that tested positive in the United States, hospitalizations and deaths remain the highest in some states.

At least another 162,000 people have already died from coronavirus, and projections used in the past through the White House estimate may increase to approximately 300,000 Americans as of December 1. The Institute of Metrics and Health Assessment also anticipates an increase in the number of hospital beds and fans that will be needed.

Public fitness experts and infectious disease experts say a strong and coordinated message about the virus in the federal and U.S. states. It is more than ever, as fitness officials fear that the virus is circulating widely in parts of the Midwest.

In recent weeks, the timing and way of reopening schools in the United States this fall has a major problem, as the role of young people in spreading the disease is still unclear. On Friday, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that all school districts in the state had been allowed to reopen for the fall semester, adding New York, the nation’s largest school district.

Tedros referred to the reopening of schools on Monday and said countries use a “risk-based approach” while remaining “attentive” to potential groups.

“We all want schools to reopen safely, but we also want to make sure students, staff and teachers are safe,” he said. “The basis of this is good enough for Covid-19 transmission.”

He his message is clear: “Delete, delete, remove the virus”.

“If we have Covid-19 right, we can open corporations safely,” he said.
