WHO in talks with Russia for new COVID-19 vaccine

The World Health Organization (WHO) has said it is discussing with the Russian fitness government an imaginable prequalification through WHO of its new COVID-19 vaccine, a WHO spokesperson said Tuesday.

President Vladimir Putin announced Tuesday that Russia was the first country to sign a COVID-19 vaccine after less than two months of human testing.

The Gamaleya National Research Center developed the vaccine, which officially registered with the Russian Ministry of Health, Putin said at an assembly of government officials in Moscow.
