White House Pushes Flu and COVID Vaccines as Instances: COVID Response Coordinator

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The White House COVID response coordinator on Thursday suggested Americans get a flu shot and update COVID-19 boosters, saying there has been a significant backlog of COVID cases over the past two weeks.

“There’s still a lot of flu and COVID numbers are particularly increasing in recent weeks,” Ashish Jha said in an interview with CNN.

“If other people faint and get a flu shot, if other people pass out and get the updated COVID vaccines, things will be much better. Obviously, if that doesn’t happen, there’s more worry and more risk.
