ASTANA. Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov today responded to journalists’ inquiry about the relocation of Russian corporations to Kazakhstan at a briefing in Majilis, Kazinform reports.

“In fact, we see many foreign corporations leaving the Russian Federation. We have compiled a list of the largest foreign corporations, their number now exceeds 300. We informed you about the opportunities for painting in Kazakhstan. Some of them have already made a positive resolution and moved their offices to our country. I mean InDriver, Fortescue, Marubeni,” the prime minister said.

“We are talking about the relocation of production and its regional offices. It all depends on the decisions that are made through those foreign companies, to some extent they will be relocated, the volume of production they need to have in Kazakhstan or whether they need to open a regional office. Our purpose is to attract their production capacity to the territory of Kazakhstan as much as possible,” Alikhan Smailov said.
