If you’re looking for focused Italian food, Lunarossa is more than just a gamble. Located in the center of bustling Business Bay, this dining spot embodies the spirit of original Italian flavors and warm hospitality. The atmosphere is sublime yet warm and the menu is trendy but family-friendly.
The dishes were created by Executive Chef Antonio Monzo and are a delicious adventure through a country as known for its love of gatherings with family and friends as it is for its fine dining.
It’s hard to resist the homemade bread with Italian olive oil and it kept us itching until the CARPACCIO DI POLPO MEDITERRANEO arrived on the table. The octopus perfectly cut by hand, lightly seasoned and superbly presented. Then came the SAUTÈ DI VONGOLE VERACI, those sautéed Neapolitan clams. They are most productively enjoyed when picked up with your hands and eaten directly from the shell. We also dip the rest of the bread into the savory sauce to savor every bite of this hearty dish.
Among the seafood, we chose the FILETTO DI BACCALA’ AL VAPORE | ALLA NAPOLETANA: This is a premium quality steamed cod fillet in a Neapolitan-style stew. Delicate yet flavorful, it’s a wonderful selection if you need a mellow yet satisfying meal.
Of course, among the pastas it is difficult to decide on one, but the homemade raviolins of the RAVIOLINO SPECIALE DELLO CHEF-Chef spoke for themselves. It’s a real thrill for the audience!
