Prince William presented the Earthshot Prize in 2020, the ultimate cutting-edge response to the world’s greatest environmental challenges.
The occasion is a prestigious annual environmental award that aims to discover, celebrate, drive and scale responses that can lead the world towards harmony until 2030.
Each year for the next decade, winners will get a £1 million prize to bring their answers to life.
Although they may not get the grand prize, the 15 finalists will get it from the global alliance of Earthshot Prize partners.
The challenge includes five other categories: protecting and restoring nature, cleaning our air, revitalizing our oceans, building a waste-free Earth, and repairing our climate.

The awards were spurred by President John F. Kennedy’s “Moonshot” in 1962, the challenge that led him to try to land a man on the moon that decade.
This year’s event will take place in Singapore, where the future king will be this weekend.
It will start on Sunday, November 5, but the main event will take place on Tuesday, November 7.
The entire event will be a week-long birthday party of innovation and impact.

In addition to William’s presence, many notable faces will join the royal family in Singapore.
Earlier this week, he announced that Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham would host the rite on Nov. 7.
Other stars of the rite will include Cate Blanchett, actress Lana Condor and zookeeper Robert Irwin, and entertainment will be provided through Bastille and OneRepublic.
However, one user who won’t be registering for William is his wife, Princess Kate, who was with him at the last two ceremonies in Boston and London.
Kensington Palace has confirmed that Kate will not travel to the Southeast Asian country as she will be staying at home to help Prince George with his school exams.
William will be in Singapore from November 5-8 to participate in Earthshot Week, a series of events that bring together Earthshot finalists, companies and investors.
