A faint earthquake was felt today in Burgas at around 9:40 a. m. No earthquakes have been reported in Bulgaria at this time.
A reference to the records of the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences shows that a strong earthquake was recorded in the domain of the Turkish city of Bursa, located about 490 kilometers from Burgas.
The earthquake had a magnitude of 5. 1 on the Richter scale and an intensity of 8 kilometers. A few minutes later, a second, weaker earthquake was reported in the area.
Another earthquake struck Romania less than 12 hours ago. Today, five minutes after midnight, an earthquake measuring 4. 6 on the Richter scale was recorded 155 kilometers northwest of Bucharest, 396 kilometers from the city of Sofia.
