We may not let you down, FG assures young people

Okwe Obi, Abuja

The federal government has entrusted young Nigerians with letting them down, with the promise of institutionalizing smart policies and systems that would gain advantages in their growth.

The Minister of Special Tasks and Intergovernmental Affairs, George Akume, gave this assurance when he won the leadership of the Integrity Group of the Congress of All Progressives (APC) in Abuja.

Akume suggested that they join president Mohammadu Buhari’s leadership and not allow negative opposition comments to harm their spirit and confidence in a larger country.

He added that despite achievements such as infrastructure progression and youth empowerment, the opposition will continue to attack the Buhari administration.

“Most of you are other young people. And other young people are primary assets of government, so this administration has focused on selling and promoting the path of young people.

On Wednesday, the president announced November 1 as Youth Day, the first of its kind since Nigeria’s independence in 1960.

“Many of the president’s projects are specific to young people; Talk about the specific NSIP about N-power, take a look at the anchor lending program of the agricultural sector, take a look at the 75 billion N to help other young people integrate into the Nigerian economy.

“Our party, the APC, was formed with the most productive of intentions. We need to serve. You all know we took off at a time when things were very difficult. The economy had entered recession; other people had to pay salaries in the state.

“This is an honor for the APC government. Funds have been made to ensure that the state is behind on public servants. This is something that has never been done in the history of this country. “

“Without the COVID-19 pandemic, we would have done much more. Our paths, which are set out through the Chinese, have returned. When you see the Onitsha Bridge, you will agree with the quality of the paintings with which it is made.

“The government of the afterlife has gotten into politics. In late 2014, some excavators were moved east east. But as soon as the election was over, they disappeared,” he said.

He added that “anyone who tries to belittle us, let’s not settle for that. Let’s tell the truth. We’re not telling lies. What we do is other people see it. Nigerians may be expecting very judgment from others in public office. “.

“The opposition will never see anything smart in what we do. It’s even a challenge for us to do more. We’re making him very smart. You’ll have to keep supplying at the forefront. Let others know that you are transmitting these successes so they can see them.

Previously, the organization’s president, Abubakar Fakai, said the organization would continue with Buhari’s administration by wearing down its policies.
