CITY OF CALOOCAN, (PIA) — The Department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with DOST-National Capital Region and DOST-Technology Application and Promotion Institute, opens Handa Pilipinas Expo 2022 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
The three-day event, which will take place November 9-11, 2022, will showcase the latest cutting-edge technologies and products and crisis threat response and relief technologies similar to progression studies and projects (R).
DOST and its partner organizations aim to use this occasion as a place to sensitize other stakeholders on technologies that can be used for the capacities of local crisis threat control and relief offices in hazard mitigation, preparedness and response.
Some of the DOST technologies are Tsunami Warning and Disaster Early Warning System, Automated Weather Station, GeoSafer, Damaged Building Detection, and Old Reporting Mapping or CORNER for inventions in the organization of early warning systems.

The Handa Pilipinas exhibition was originally scheduled from March 12 to 14, 2020 also at the World Trade Center. However, due to the continued accumulation of COVID-19 cases at this time and the start of implementing various fitness restrictions and protocols, DOST has to postpone the occasion until now.
