Doha, Qatar: Vodafone Qatar has expanded its popular ‘e-KYC – Know Your Customer Electronically’ registration procedure to now include passport and QID verification for new SIM activations in the My Vodafone app.
This new feature allows visitors and citizens of Qatar to connect to the Vodafone network in a few undeniable steps online. The My Vodafone app’s AI-based facial popularity generation temporarily confirms the main points of customers’ passports and gives them the option to download an eSIM. or request that a SIM card be delivered to your home loose and with real-time tracking.
This latest update to Vodafone Qatar’s state-of-the-art digitised check-in procedure will be available specifically to visitors to Expo 2023 Doha and beyond, when they get a new connection from Vodafone.
The initiative also builds on the telecommunications provider’s ambition to actively contribute to Qatar’s virtual transformation, in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

The eKYC service allows users to complete their SIM or eSIM purchase in the My Vodafone app from a mobile phone without visiting a store. Customers can book their desired number, schedule it and, best of all, update their details immediately via the virtual service.
