ASTANA. European Council President Charles Michel plans to travel to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, Kazinform reports.
In his message on Twitter, Charles Michel informed that he will arrive in Astana at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on October 26 and 27, after which he will leave for Uzbekistan where he will meet with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
“Ready to deepen ties with Central Asia and intra-regional cooperation,” he tweeted.
On 21 September, at the World Summit on Food Security, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Charles Michel. The sides discussed the clients to strengthen the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the European Union, drawing attention to the progression of political discussion and the expansion of industry and economic cooperation. The leaders are pressing for the consistent implementation of the agreements reached after the official stopover of the Head of State to Brussels last November.
