Kauai a new case for the first time in more than a month.

Health in Hawaii reported 112 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, all in Oahu, with the exception of 14 new known cases on the island of Hawaii and one on Kauai. Three deaths were reported in Oahu.

The last time Kauai reported a COVID-19 case in mid-August, the user is becoming ingessed from his home, according to Kauai County officials.

The Department of Health has recorded 127 COVID-19-related deaths to date, however, this does not come with the maximum deaths reported on the island of Hawaii, Civil Beat has calculated 140 deaths.

Oahu began reopening some business on Thursday and allowed rallies of up to five people. The island uses a new framework to advise reopening based on two parameters: the average number of daily instances and the average number of tests that test positive in the week. – a figure called positivity rate.

The plan has 4 categories or reopening grades. If Oahu has an average of seven days of more than one hundred instances consistent with the day and a positivity rate of seven days of 5% or more, it will be in the maximum serious category. Level 1, food from places to eat is reserved for members of the same family and stricter restrictions are imposed on advertising activities.

To be successful at Level 4, the maximum comfort level, the island wants a seven-day average positivity rate of less than 1% and an average of less than 20 new instances based on the day.

Honolulu, where COVID-19 disease activity has been of the highest prevalence, will begin at Level 1, its existing measures show that the scenario is not as severe. According to the plan, the city will have to stay at every point for at least 4 weeks before moving to another point with more comfortable restrictions.

Last week, about 3. 1% of COVID-19 tests in Oahu yielded positive results and the island recorded an average of 87 new cases consistent with the day. These tests were a component of a flexible federal initiative and contributed to an overall decrease in the rate of positivity.
