The video was shared in similar Facebook posts, falsely claiming it was filmed in Bangladesh here and here.

A Google search for the opposite symbol found the video posted via an Instagram account in India on March 21, 2024 (archived link).

The video, titled “Happy Holi,” features the Hindi song “Aang Laga De,” taken from an Indian adaptation of “Romeo and Juliet,” a Bengali song.

Indian news channel Times Now reported that the inhabitants of the video who lived in Delhi were from Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh in northern India (link archived).

The couple and a friend were prosecuted over the footage and in the past have been fined for stunts they performed while riding a scooter, he added.

The Times of India reported that Delhi police were investigating him for alleged violation of legislation on “obscene acts and songs” and “drunkenness or nuisance on the subway” (link archived).

An official at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation told AFP on April 2, 2024, that the company had reported the incident to the police.
