Pakistan has even lifted the blockade due to the drastic drop in the number of COVID-19 patients and deaths on Monday.

The government has announced the end of the state of emergency by coronavirus. Tourism is back after a five-month break.

Meanwhile, the new president of the United Nations General Assembly congratulated Pakistan on temporarily containing the coronavirus and said that the south Asian nation’s control of the pandemic is a smart example to the world.

Turkish diplomat Volkan Bozkir made his comment Monday at a news convention in the capital, Islamabad.

Bozkir was recently elected president of the 75th consultation of the United Nations General Assembly.

Upon his arrival in Islamabad, he met with Prime Minister Imran Khan, who needs foreign monetary establishments and countries to provide debt relief to poor countries whose economies have been seriously affected by the new virus.

Bozkir occurs amid a steady decline in deaths and COVID-19 infections in Pakistan.

The recovery rate of coronavirus in Pakistan has exceeded 91%, and official knowledge appears to have recovered from the disease so far, compared to the total number of 285,016 cases shown since the outbreak.

According to the government’s COVID-19 portal, another 634 people have recovered in more than 24 hours, while 791 patients are in critical condition.

Pakistan reported 15 coronavirus deaths on Monday in more than 24 hours, bringing the total number of COVID-19-like deaths to 6,107.

Pakistan tourist destinations have begun to reopen slowly and are preparing to welcome visitors in accordance with government-defined security measures. The step has been taken to revive a weakened economy under the weight of the coronavirus pandemic.

Cultural venues have also begun to reopen with fewer people and new regulations with a large number of visitors who noticed wearing protective masks. The Punjab government has announced the reopening of cinemas and theatres with operating procedures (SOP). The Department of Primary and Secondary Health Care has issued the SOOs with the advice of the marching technical group, which will take effect from Monday.

SOPs for cinemas and theaters come with the realization of certain hand hygiene, breathing etiquette, social remoteness, cleaning and disinfection of premises. PCOS also include fitness verification and outreach activities in Covid-19.

Cinema/theatre addresses would adopt a “no mask, no entry” policy and restrict the occupation of cinemas to 40% of total capacity. They will offer exhibits that will last from 40 minutes to 60 minutes, while the period between exhibitions will be at least 60 minutes to ensure proper cleaning, disinfection and ventilation.

An official from the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) on COVID-19 who 115415 coronavirus patients had recovered in Sindh, 86266 in Punjab, 31612 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 12914 in Islamabad, 10326 in Balochistan, 1902 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1883 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He added that 23,390 tests had been conducted in the country in the last 24 hours.

Sindh’s lead minister, Murad Ali Shah, said 303 coronaviruses and 10 deaths had been reported in the province in the last 24 hours.

He added that 8,288 tests had been conducted. The provincial total rose to 123,849 with new ones and the death toll reached 2,272. Currently, 5,836 patients are being treated in the province.
