The COVID-19 crisis has affected companies around the world and many have demonstrated their resilience by innovating with SAP technology. After combining their inspiring stories into a single video, the great picture that pops up is stunning. These corporations not only find creative tactics to respond to the crisis, but are learning and reinventing a more powerful future.
On the line
The fastest position where virtual force is helping is on the front line of the pandemic. Parkland Health and Hospital System, for example, had to be waiting for emergency volumes and workflows. By leveraging SAP’s strength, frontline staff can now map and track patient symptoms and evaluate daily capacity and inventory. And when ViaQuest Home Hospice Care nurses needed protective glasses, SAP’s wife, Premikati, connected ViaQuest to SAP Ariba Spot Buy. The glasses were dispatched in four hours and the nurses had to do their homework with confidence, knowing they were protected.
Changing the job
The global pandemic has also replaced the way we paint more personally than ever before, operating remotely. In the face of these new realities, Ko-Holding, in Istanbul, Turkey, had to perceive the considerations of the staff. Transforming our communities
Meanwhile, in the UK, many other people remote through the virus have the Royal Voluntary Service (SVR), whose 600,000 volunteers spend their own money in advance to provide their services. THE RVS uses SAP Concur for a fast and accurate refund, so that volunteers can focus on support instead of completing hourly expense reports each week.
Helping citizens at home, and around the world
In the United States, some essential facilities are sometimes provided through schools, such as food served at reduced prices or at reduced costs for students in low-income households. With emerging unemployment and school closures, millions of academics and their families have experienced difficulties. GENYOUth and SAP created SAP4Kids, which helps families locate loose food and resources across the United States. Meanwhile, the German government needed to repatriate stranded citizens around the world. In 24 hours, SAP created a secure and scalable application on the SAP Cloud platform. Today, thousands of German citizens are at home.
Keep on the table
The crisis strained food supply chains. Some folks saw empty grocery shelves for the first time in their lives, and others were reluctant to leave the house, for fear of risking infection. In one week, Brakes, a B2B food delivery service and a leading supplier to the food service sector in the UK, used SAP technology to create a new, direct-to-consumer food delivery site, so families can shop for groceries safely from home.
