“During the golf circular, he (Hafeez) was photographed with a member of the public, who then posted on his social media account,” he told.
“As you could see in the photo that Hafeez had violated the two-meter social distance protocol and after a consultation procedure with the team’s doctor, the team monitored to isolate him until he returned a negative Covid-19 test.
“Hafeez underwent Covid-19 verification on Wednesday afternoon and the result is expected sometime on Thursday.
“The resolve to put Hafeez in solitary confinement was made by him and for the protection and safety of all around him.
“Team Control believes it’s an inadvertent error, but it’s a smart reminder to everyone about the importance of following biosecurity protocols, which were designed for the health and protection of everyone involved in the series.”
