USMNT drew 0-0 against Saudi Arabia in Murcia, Spain, as Gregg Berhalter finished his World Cup preparations with a lot of pressure.
[ MORE: Player of 10 ]
Tyler Adams came closest to scoring for USMNT, but in fact, it was a mediocre game in a nearly empty stadium in southern Spain, as an injured Saudi Arabia did damage at halftime.
It’s not the kind of functionality and result Berhalter would have sought after his disappointing loss to Japan last week and gives him plenty of questions to answer just 54 days before the World Cup kicks off in Qatar.
Confidence is low on the USMNT field: it wasn’t much bigger than the loss to Japan and the U. S. seems completely devoid of confidence in the ball. In the last third, they still seemed to be picking the wrong option and there were still some very bad gifts on defense, as Long, Turner, and Adams were all guilty. It was a team that played and looked like an organization of players who didn’t need to be injured in the last game before the World Cup. There was no peak and you have to feel sorry for Ricardo Pepi upstairs, because there was no team spirit or rhythm in this exhibition.
Musah, Robinson, Weah are very scarce: Berhalter referred to the starters he lacked before this game and it is transparent that the USMNT lacked players who can keep the ball and provide quality from wide positions. Musah runs the USMNT in midfield and Weah and Robinson are so direct that it allows midfielders to place themselves in damaging positions knowing they will meet. None of that had the USMNT in this match Pulisic and McKennie combining and coming in a couple of times on the left in the first half. Pulisic specifically disappeared at the time Part of it.
Saudi Arabia will be a tough guy: several key headlines are missing, it’s a fierce display from Saudi Arabia. Hervé Renard knows how to organize a disciplined and damaging team that opposes and Saudi Arabia does just that. They are in a very strong organization with Argentina, Mexico and Poland, however, they can cause some scares. The fact that they have five more friendlies between now and the World Cup and that all their players are based in the country (many of whom are from Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr) means that they are very used to playing in combination and are a strong unit.
USMNT looked to pass long and occasionally and worked to generate more chances than they did against Japan. McKennie appeared behind the defenders, Pulisic cut from the left and Long and Zimmerman watched for a long time whenever they could. Saudi Arabia were at risk at half-time and the space between the midfield trio and defence remains an important factor for USMNT as there were too many spaces in transition.
18 minutes to go. Not long ago 0-0. Il s yet.
SHOOTING! Much larger than the USMNT because the submarine Scally had a half erased, then, a few moments later, his fellow submarine Ferreira crashes on purpose but he is saved. Submarines have an impact. It’s more like that.
Scally, McKenzie and Ferreira for USMNT. Yedlin (who had been down for a long time after a bad tackle), Pepi and Long off.

The USMNT does not yet have half as much at this time. Saudi Arabia is more damaging and battered in some centers.
An update on Gio Reyna: He broke down as a precaution (according to Fox Sports’ Jenny Taft) and U. S. Soccer has since stated that he is “experiencing muscle tension” and that’s why he pulled out.
The part at the moment is underway and there are no substitutes on either side. So far, it’s been all of Saudi Arabia.
HALFTIME: Saudi Arabia 0-0 USMNT – Not part of the United States, again. A few more chances with McKennie and Adams at the end and balls that cause problems. However, Saudi Arabia has had some opportunities and looks decent on the counterattack. . To summarize, the USMNT proves it in one word: careless.
The news that leaks about Gio Reyna does not seem positive, because through U. S. Soccer it has been shown that his replacement is not planned. All symptoms involve some type of injury. Fingers crossed, it’s nothing serious and the U. S. is not serious. The U. S. are simply very, very cautious given their recent injury history.
NEAR! Saudi Arabia is almost taking the lead. Walker Zimmerman and Paul Arriola blocked after replacement Haitham Asiri came in from the right and Hattan Bahebri simply couldn’t adjust his feet at the key moment.
SUB: A sign of concern for USMNT Gio Reyna leaves early in a game and heads straight into the tunnel. Given its history, this is worrying. Paul Arriola is on the move. 30 minutes passed.
USMNT enthusiasts wouldn’t be thrilled with what they’ve seen so far. Yes, it’s better than the demonstration against Japan, but it may not be worse, right?
BROAD! Tyler Adams throws a deflected 25-yard throw. A decent effort after sustained American pressure.
Pulisic, dressed in the captain’s armband, looks pointed. A wave comes from the left and jumps everywhere.
There isn’t much right now, as USMNT struggles to enter the final third as normal.
Good ball and controls from McKennie, but his shot is right on the goalkeeper. Still, much better than the USMNT.
Some decent races ahead of the USMNT. Pepi and McKennie didn’t signal offside either. Fast and U. S. step because it’s more like that.
KICK-OFF: We’re on our way! Immediately, Saudi Arabia has a shot from the edge of the area and Turner pushes it away. Saudi Arabia has started, without several key players due to injuries.
The anthems resonate in the Murcian stadium before a very small audience that seems not to reach 1,000 people. Will the USMNT be able to respond to this heavy defeat against Japan? We are about to leave.
TIC Tac! The kick-off is almost here and is the last chance for players to impress Gregg Berhalter before the World Cup. Will it be another nervous, error-filled display of the stars and stripes?Or will Pulisic, Adams and McKennie stand tall and lead this young team to a much-needed victory and, perhaps most importantly, a positive display?
As kickoff approached, the general reaction to the team’s news focused on Aaron Long and Walker Zimmerman starting again in combination in the center of defense. It probably shows that Erik Palmer-Brown and Mark McKenzie are far in the pecking order in this position that the injured duo of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Chris Richards is way ahead of them. Also, seeing Pulisic and Reyna on the wings can be fun, especially if they are allowed to go inside at will.
News of the team comes from sunny southern Spain, as Estadio Nuevo Condomina is the scene of the USMNT’s last match before the World Cup begins.
For USMNT, Matt Turner once again with Zimmerman and Long on center defense. DeAndre Yedlin arrives at right-back, Sergino Dest moves to left-back. Ricardo Pepi replaces Jesus Ferreira at the top, Christian Pulisic replaces Brenden Aaronson and Kellyn Acosta replos angelesque Luca de los angeles Torre in midfield.
Gregg Berhalter was much more powerful with this initial line-up than we thought. Does this show that the tension is on him to get a result?Maybe.

Below is Saudi Arabia’s lineup, as their full list comes from their domestic league and for all USMNT enthusiasts who underestimate them, Saudi Arabia finished above Japan in World Cup qualifying.

This will be the seventh meeting between the Yanks and Green Falcons, but the first since 1999 against a national team that represents political problems for the United States. Saudi Arabia won two of the four most sensible, but the Yankes won at home in 1995. friendly and the 1999 Confederations Cup. All the mentions on the field above surely mean nothing for Tuesday, however, they are fun to notice in a preview of the game (upside-down smiley face emoji).

They are a very fun team in Saudi Arabia, who have achieved 13W-4D-1D in World Cup qualifiers and have had fun in many 1-0 matches, in addition to the recent friendly defeats in Spain against Colombia and Venezuela. The team will also play at home in Murcia, where they played the first matches and had a goalless encounter with Ecuador 4 days before that defeat. They deserve more than a solitary point that comes from a real game. If you want to see your Yankees break a strong team, Tuesday is a good opportunity.
Let’s be very fair to Berhalter, who has a young team and has staged memorable and frankly impressive triumphs in CONCACAF: right now there are injuries – Christian Pulisic rested with a hit on Friday – and the coach does not have access to Timothy Weah, Cameron Carter Vickers and Chris Richards.
But his judgment is in doubt with Fulham captain Tim Ream, Union Berlin centre forward Jordan Pefok and Benfica defender John Brooks healthy and fit to make a contribution, but sitting at home. Berhalter questioned his changes to the formula and also said something nebulous. about the team that doesn’t express its “personality” opposite to Japan and sounds pretty bad when the formula looks awful.
This is by far the most attractive lineup at some point for USMNT after Berhalter gave some of his initial pivot looks and received a combined bag of results, none of which were notable apart from goalkeeper Matt Turner (and even he wasn’t at his maximum productivity in ownership on a certainly mediocre field in Dusseldorf) and Brenden Aaronson if we’re wise at the call for optimism. But in reality, the first 3 were ghosts. Much of it is due to the 8 men, however, and indulgent glances can be cast at Aaronson and Giovanni Reyna. Jesus Ferreira is not included after lacking a chance that he would and could be called goalkeeper if he didn’t have to jump in to direct it (we’re kidding, but that’s black humor).
Aaron Long was very poor and Walker Zimmerman unusually deficient at his side, while young Sam Vines had a tricky first half before Berhalter adjusted his use from left-back to left-back with an emphasis on the wing. Weston McKennie and Tyler Adams are the heartbeat of this team, however, it seemed like a combination of cyclist and junior college. This will not be carried out Array and very rarely will be carried out at the same time.
Here’s what you should look for among Berhalter’s roster picks, assuming he doesn’t replace his lineup.

Tottenham (23 problems – 3rd place) are tied with the two-time champion protectors after 10 games, although Arsenal are leading in 4 problems before those midweek matches. The loss to Arsenal is the only real stain on Spurs’ national record. for Man United (16 numbers – 5th), a challenge in the top four is very likely as Erik ten Hag does a quick job to stabilise and improve the team in his first season.

Tottenham will be at a numerical disadvantage in attack when they go to Manchester, with Richarlison joining Dejan Kulusevski on the injured list. Kulusevski hasn’t played since Sept. 17 (three games); Richarlison is expected to miss two weeks. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min will again pick up the pace offensively, but it will be much harder to pass the sled without Kulusevski’s elegant creativity and hard dribbling, or Richarlison’s tireless hunting and defense paintings.
The gap between Man United and fourth-place Chelsea is 3 points lately, but the Blues have been strengthened by the appointment of Graham Potter, winning all 3 Premier League games with a combined score of 7-1. Wednesday is Tottenham, Saturday is Chelsea. Ten Hag’s actual progress will soon be revealed.

Bournemouth host Southampton in a south coast derby at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday, with those two in very different situations.
LIVE STREAMING Bournemouth vs SOUTHAMPTON
First of all: it’s not the biggest rivalry on the south coast and it’s a confusing local derby. Here is our explanation on this topic from 2015.
Bournemouth chief goalkeeper Gary O’Neil is unbeaten in six games since replacing Scott Parker and Bournemouth have racked up thirteen problems in their 10 games this season. With new American owners and a young team exceeding expectations, there is genuine positivity around Bournemouth.
There are many negative vibes around Southampton, as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s paintings hang in the balance. They have not won any of their last five Premier League matches and have fallen into the relegation zone. It’s time for your young and talented team to start reaping results. Otherwise, Hasenhuttl will not celebrate its fourth birthday in December.
Here’s everything you want for Bournemouth vs Southampton.
After their big hit at Liverpool, the Cherries are unbeaten and have surprised even their own supporters. A team headed for rapid relegation into the league plays with confidence and conviction, and what Gary O’Neil has been able to do is incredible. In January, they also deserve to have plenty of extra budget from their new owners to spend on new players. Southampton’s form has long been lousy. Its new owners, who arrived in January 2022, are expected to replace managers unless Hasenhuttl makes a significant replacement in the coming weeks.
Dominic Solanke has been sensational for Bournemouth, while Philip Billing has superbly subsidised him in a more attacking role. The goalkeeper Neto is also excellent, Marcos Senesi is also being very intelligent in central defense. Southampton’s Che Adams continues to fight but has not scored in his last seven. Games of PL. La most of the Southampton team is out of shape.
David Brooks and Lloyd Kelly are still returning from injury, while Ben Pearson may also return. Bournemouth may make some changes, but O’Neil will most likely maintain this diversity in combination, as they have bonded very well.
Tino Livramento is still regaining his full form, while key central midfielder Romeo Lavia is also the latest to return. Most likely, he will enter the central defense.

Liverpool hosts West Ham at Anfield after their big win over Manchester City to relive their season.
LIVE STREAMING Liverpool vs WEST HAM
Jurgen Klopp was sent off in that clash when the scoring atmosphere at Anfield helped the Reds beat the city and after a shaky start to the season, they looked like themselves.
West Ham are unbeaten in five in all competitions before this match and having had a slow start, David Moyes’ side are also returning to their best, especially in attack.
Here’s everything you want for Liverpool vs West Ham.
Jurgen Klopp explained to Pro Soccer Talk why he “lost” and was sent off against City, as the Liverpool manager admitted he had gone too far. an FA ban after his unpleasant moves towards officials prompted an indictment from authorities. Liverpool are still the leaders of Arsenal (the hole is 14 points), but they will continue to nibble and it seems that they have regained their competitive advantage. West Ham continue to look better in attack with summer signings Scamacca and Paquetá providing so much quality. They look set for another top 10 (at least) and some other deep career in Europe after having already reached the knockout stages of the Europa Conference League.
Liverpool’s Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk sensationally opposed Manchester City, as they kept Erling Haaland quiet, while Alisson continues to make great saves when needed and has probably been Liverpool’s player of the season so far. Mohamed Salah is also back in form with five goals in his last 4 matches in all competitions. West Ham’s Gianluca Scamacca looked very lively against Southampton last time, while Declan Rice scored his first of the season and is starting to dominate games from midfield.
Injuries remain a factor for Jurgen Klopp, as Diogo Jota suffered a serious muscle injury in the past against City and is expected to miss the World Cup. Joel Matip, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Naby Keita, Arthur Melo and Luis Diaz remain absent. Ibrahima Konaté is also uncertain. In that case, Klopp does not have many functions to rotate, however, Alexander-Arnold can return to the right side and Tsmikas can start as a left back with Carvalho and Núñez probably also to be converted into the lineup. .
Craig Dawson and Kurt Zouma doubt injuries as West Ham’s problems continue in centre back, while Nayef Aguerd remains absent and Maxwel Cornet continues to get fit. Michail Antonio can start against Liverpool after being on the bench in the Southampton draw. .
