Both Reuters and the New York Times reported that the virus had surpassed 10 million in the United States on Sunday.
President-elect Joe Biden said he plans to show leadership in the U. S. epidemic amid an increasing number of cases and has criticized President Trump’s handling of the pandemic during his campaign.

Biden will announce a 12-member working group on coronavirus on Monday, which will devise concepts to involve the disease once it enters the workplace in January, according to reports. However, Trump has pledged legal action in the coming days until refusing to grant biden his loss.
The task force will be led by Vivek Murthy, a former US surgeon general, and David Kessler, a former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration.
One of his first priorities as president-elect will be to put into force masked mandates at the national level through the execution of state governors.
Globally, coronavirus has inflamed more than 50,395,314 people and killed at least 1,256,000 since the start of the pandemic, according to Johns Hopkins University.
