USA. U. S. sent billions in COVID aid to hospitals that didn’t want it: report

“It’s like your low space is about to flood, and the National Guard shows up and throws sandbags at you, but also brings a bunch of them into high-rise homes that are at risk,” William Schpero, fitness economist at Weill Cornell Medicine, told the WSJ.

President Biden’s Department of Homeland Security says about 90% of the budget was distributed during former President Trump’s administration.

The hospital’s confusion is just one of many examples of misallocation of COVID-19 relief funds, and the Biden administration is completely out of blame.

Biden’s flagship U. S. bailout The U. S. government also allocated billions in the COVID-19 budget to state governments that were already recovering with tax revenues, according to a September report. Instead of spending the budget for COVID-19 responses, the budget was spent on new structural projects, roads, and even levees.

“To be absolutely honest, we didn’t want it,” Kansas House Appropriations Committee Chairman Troy Waymaster said of the $1. 6 billion his state received.

The U. S. largely moved away from investment in infusions as the pandemic subsided earlier this year, and Biden is now encouraging Americans to upgrade their vaccine doses.
