Herman Cain succumbed to COVID-19. My center is broken.
It saddens me a lot to hear the passing of my former boss, Herman Cain. I’m preparing for online cruelty about how he deserved to be COVID and die for his politics. We live in a dark period. But they didn’t know him. I did.
Herman Cain: a wonderful man, an American success, an eternal optimist, even when he was diagnosed with level four colon cancer and then Covid-19. RIP, my friend.
In 2011, Herman Cain told me a story about isolated development in Atlanta, Georgia. His crusade turned our interview into this announcement. I’ll talk about it today. Tear! pic.twitter.com/u8uiQRxSOH
God bless the dead and possibly God the living. RIP @THEHerguyCain. You were a smart guy in my netpaintings and you agreed or disagreed with your policy. I appreciate your paintings on and on the west side of Atlanta.
Cain’s editor showed his death Thursday morning.
“Herman Cain, our boss, our friend, as father to many of us, is gone,” Dan Calabrese said in a message.
“We knew when he was first hospitalized by COVID-19 that it was going to be a tough fight,” Calabrese added. “He had trouble breathing and was taken to the hospital by ambulance. We all prayed that the first medications he was given would allow him to catch his breath as a normal, but it soon became clear that he was going to fight.”
