Kirill Dmitriev, director of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, has shown that phase III clinical trials of the Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine will begin in India from September.
The third of the clinical trials of the Russian coronavirus vaccine will also be conducted in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Philippines and Brazil, News 18 reported.
Dmitriev also reported that the initial effects of the Sputnik V Phase III tests will be until October-November 2020.

The progression comes at a time when Russia has expressed interest in partnering with India to produce the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as India among the 20 countries interested in participating in the Sputnik V phase III trials.
