Up to 190,000 scholarship holders in small category schools in Kazakhstan

NUR-SULTAN. KAZINFORM – 192,000 young people are reading in schools with small categories across Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan’s Enlightenment Minister Askhat Aimagambetov said, Kazinform correspondent reports.

“Schools with small categories account for 36 percent of the total number of schools nationwide, with 5. 3 percent of students reading and 14 percent working,” Aimagambetov said.

The minister referred to the greater merit of rural schools over urban ones. According to him, in almost all rural schools young people are educated in a team of singles.

He added that rural teachers will gain advantages from a 25% increase in their income.
