GENEVA — FIFA Vice President Sheik Salman of Bahrain will be re-elected unopposed as president of the Asian Football Confederation. The 47-nation AFC on Tuesday released its list of candidates for its next electoral assembly in Bahrain in February. Seven countries, plus Saudi Arabia and Qatar, have fielded candidates for five seats on the FIFA Council, contested only among men. Five countries are competing for a women’s seat.
