United States team vs. Germany: Live results, Olympic focus updates

Team USA continues its preparation for a fifth straight gold medal in men’s basketball heading into the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

After five exhibition victories this summer, the team now heads to France ahead of Friday’s opening ceremony before beginning the organizational phase.

On Monday, the United States defeated Germany 92-88 at the O2 Arena in London, with LeBron James scoring a game-high 20 points, adding the final 11 of the game. The victory follows Saturday’s dramatic 101-100 result against South Sudan in London, in which James scored the decisive layup in the final moments.

The American team had already defeated Serbia and Australia in two matches held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. These results translated into a victory over Canada in Las Vegas on July 10.

At the Olympic Games, the U. S. team will play 3 Group C matches in Lille: Sunday (Serbia), July 31 (South Sudan) and August 3 (Puerto Rico). August), the semi-finals (8 August) and the gold medal (10 August) at the Accor Arena.
