DUBAI (Reuters) – The United Arab Emirates on Wednesday reported its highest number of coronavirus infections since the onset of the pandemic to 1,083 new cases.
The Persian Gulf state has noticed an increase in cases in the last seven weeks to 164 cases on August 3, a trend that the government has attributed to others who do not adhere to social estating measures.
The United Arab Emirates has a higher number of tests conducted and said that on Tuesday 103,199 tests were conducted for the virus in the country of some 9. 9 million people.
The United Arab Emirates has recorded 87,530 infections and 406 COVID-19 deaths. The government does not disclose where infections or deaths occurred in the country of the seven emirates.
