Trade union minister S Jaishankar Jitendra Singh won the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as the second dose of the national vaccination campaign begins today.

Trade Union Minister S Jaishankar Jitendra Singh received his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine as part of the second phase of the national vaccination campaign for citizens over 60 years of age and those between 45 and 59 years of age with comorbidities that began today, March 1.

Tweeting a photo of himself receiving the COVID vaccine, Jaishankar informed the country that he had chosen to receive Covaxin, the vaccine developed through Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech. Expressing his emotions, he wrote that he felt “safe” after receiving the vaccine.

Singh also visited the microblogging site and shared a photo of himself getting vaccinated. In his tweet, he thanked the medical staff involved and motivated his compatriots to sign up for the COVID-free Indian motion put forward by Prime Minister Modi by vaccination.

Earlier today, as he kicked off phase 2 of India’s COVID vaccination program, Prime Minister Modi won his first vaccine shot. Union SM Amit Shah and India’s Vice President Venkaiah Naidu won the COVID vaccine.

Following the successful vaccination of fitness staff and frontline staff in the first phase, India is now entering the second phase of the vaccination campaign. In the second phase, other seniors aged 60 and older on January 1, 2022 and those with comorbidities in the Aged 45 to 59 on January 1, 2022 are eligible for vaccination. An estimated 10 billion people nationwide are being vaccinated at about 10,000 government gyms and 12,000 private centers.

States and districts will need to pre-register COVID-19 vaccination sites (CVCs) on the Co-WIN2. 0 portal before registration opens for people 60 and older and 45 with comorbidities in order for the CVC list to be available. to citizens, the Union Department of Health said. Registration begins today, March 1 at nine a. m. Eligible recipients can choose half of their selection and book an appointment electronically based on available slots.
