The escalating war in Ukraine has forced more than 10 million people from Ukraine to cross the border into neighboring countries since last February, the UN Refugee Agency said on Tuesday (Aug. 2).
The agency’s count recorded a total of 10,107,957 border crossings from Ukraine since the war began.

“This is one of the biggest forced displacement crises since World War II, and the fastest,” reads UNHCR’s most recent report on global trends.
