Britain now plans to distribute millions of loose antibody tests as it effectively completes the first of the primary tests, the Daily Telegraph reported.
The report also revealed that with the help of the finger puncture test, coronavirus can be detected in a person’s body in 20 minutes. The test found 98.6% accuracy in classified human trials conducted in June.
Britain plans to keep the checks loose and the check will be asked online to go to the supermarkets. “It turned out to be 98.6%, and that’s very smart news,” said Chris Hand, UK-RTC’s director, as cited in the report.
The report adds that verification evolved through the UK Rapid Testing Consortium in collaboration with the University of Oxford and major UK diagnostics companies. The team was awaiting regulatory approval and began mass-producing antibody control across the UK.
“Lately we’re expanding with our partners to produce thousands of doses each month,” Hand said.
According to a spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, who quoted in the paper that the check will help track transmission of the new coronavirus. However, the government does not yet know whether antibodies “indicate immunity opposed to reinfection or transmission.”
In the meantime, Oxford University will be aware of the early stages of human trials on Monday. Lately it is in the 3rd phase of human trials that are being carried out in Brazil, according to media reports.
