UK First Nation to approve Pfizer/BioNtech COVID-19 vaccine

The UK is expected to get a total of 40 million doses by the end of 2021, enough to vaccinate up to a third of the population, and most doses are expected for the first part of next year.

If approval is granted, the NHS (National Health Service) will be able to comply. The NHS has been widely reveled in the implementation of large-scale immunization systems and a large number of paints have been made to ensure that we have the logistics, shipping and labor experience to implement a vaccine based on clinical priority, at the rate at which it can be manufactured,” British Health Secretary Matt Hancock said last month.

The UK government states that the COVID-19 vaccine will only be authorised as a source through the UK’s independent regulator if it meets strict quality, protection and efficacy criteria, and if met, the vaccine can be manufactured uniformly.

MHRA is the UK’s independent regulator, hailed as a world-renowned establishment for not easy quality, protection and efficiency criteria.

The vaccine will be manufactured at German BioNTech sites, as well as at Pfizer’s production facility in Belgium.

The UK government said it remained confident that the bloodless chain of origin needed to distribute the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine would cause disruption or delays. When the vaccine is stored in the refrigerator, it has an effective shelf life of up to five days at temperatures. 2 to 8 degrees, allowing it to be stored seamlessly in distribution centers.
