The Twitter account of the vanquished Herman Cain, who died after inflamed with COVID-19 in July, issued a breathless proclamation on Sunday night.
“It turns out that the virus isn’t as fatal as the mainstream media claimed,” the account tweeted with an article in the Western Journal, a right-wing media outlet.
The tweet was then deleted.

After the death of the former Republican presidential candidate on July 30, his verified account took over through his “team and his family,” which changed the account name to “The Cain Gang” while retaining the account’s original @THEHermanCain.
Twitter users were first surprised when the account, still under Cain’s full call at the time, first tweeted on August 12 to denounce Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA):

Cain’s circle of relatives later revealed that they had taken the account.
