Dr. Adel Al-Sagwany, a medical specialist in the UAE Ministry of Health’s circle of relatives and a member of the Covid-19 virus awareness team, has denied the lifestyles of Covid-19’s so-called “second wave.”Dr. Al-Sagwany expressed confidence that the recent accumulation in the number of new instances after a past decline will be the result of non-compliance with preventive measures and precautionary proceedings.
He added that waves of infection at the time occur regularly due to genetic mutations and virus developments, which is not the case with Covid-19 until now.Al-Sagwany said that if this happened, the scenario would be significantly worse than on the first wave.
Dr. Al-Sagwany also presses on the importance of monitoring fitness and protection measures to curb the spread of infection amid the recent reopening of many public spaces and the resumption of economic and commercial activities.
On Monday, the Ministry of Health of the United Arab Emirates conducted 82,763 Covid-19 tests and reported 541 new infections, bringing the total number to 70,231; 331 new recoveries were reported, with a total number of more than 60,931.
Two new deaths were reported, bringing the number of Covid-19 deaths in the country to 384.
