The British newspaper claims that Raab, two former Trump administration officials, and the British government as a whole, ignored the lab leak theory due to pressure from government scientists who leaned toward the theory that the disease had been transmitted from animals to humans.
“We looked at various pieces of data and thought that, frankly, it was mind-boggling,” a former official who worked on the intelligence for Pompeo’s report told The Telegraph. “They flagrantly pointed to the maximum likelihood that it was indeed a lab leak. “

The reports, which consist of data collected at the start of the pandemic, were also shared with the UK’s Five Eyes between October and December 2020. Five Eyes includes Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Information contained in a document received through The Telegraph says U. S. officials have accused Chinese officials of “obstruction” as well as “blatant corruption and ineptitude. “Reports also purportedly showed that the Chinese military had been collaborating with the Wuhan Institute of Virology for years. before the pandemic and that researchers in the lab had fallen ill some time before COVID-19 was first reported in the region.

On May 1, the U. S. House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic launched a fraudulent investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 virus.
The demands for an investigation come after the release of an interim report accusing EcoHealth Alliance President Dr. Peter Daszak of conducting “dangerous gain-of-function studies in Wuhan, China, without sufficient oversight. “
EcoHealth Alliance is a U. S. -based non-governmental organization. A U. S. Department of Homeland Security that is engaged in pandemic prevention research.

According to congressional lawmakers, EcoHealth used taxpayer money “to fund a detrimental gain of function at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV)” in China.
The NGO disputes this claim.
