U.S. national security adviser Robert O’Brien conducted Covid-19 screening tests, making him the top senior member of the Trump administration to be affected by the virus.
The White House said Monday that O’Brien had developed “benign symptoms, had self-insulated and was fleeing from a safe place off site.”
He added: “There is no threat of exposure to the president or vice president. The paintings of the National Security Council remain uninterrupted. O’Brien’s paintings at a workplace in the West Wing, a short distance from President Donald Trump.”
He had travelled to Paris in mid-July for an assembly with opposite numbers from the UNITED Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy.
Two members of the White House had tested positive before: Trump’s private camera help and Vice President Mike Pence’s communications team chief.
The Modern Vaccine Begins
The world’s largest Covid-19 vaccine test began on Monday and the first of 30,000 volunteers is expected to review vaccines created through the U.S. government, one of many applicants in the final stretch of the global vaccine race.
There is still no guarantee that the experimental vaccine, developed through the National Institutes of Health and Modern Inc., will in fact protect. Mandatory testing: Volunteers won’t know if they get the genuine photo or a fake version. After two doses, scientists will largely monitor which organization reports maximum infections while painting daily, especially in areas where the virus is still spreading unchecked.
