A panel of U. S. medical experts The U. S. Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday called for specific omicron boosters this fall, as expectations rise that COVID-19 vaccines will be seasonal, as is the case with the flu.
The committee, convened through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), voted 19 in favor and two against the measure after spending a day reviewing available data, adding long-term wave projections and early effects from vaccine manufacturers.
