Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo this week sent a sobering message to U. S. chipmakers. The U. S. will have to wait up to nine months before Washington can succeed in a deal with U. S. allies. The U. S. government is pushing tough new regulations to limit China’s technologies to certain technologies.
Usa. The U. S. government is executing a deal that would subject companies in the Netherlands and Japan, home to some of the largest chip-making device makers, to limits on sales of such devices to China. Usa. U. S. corporations are already subject to export controls, which they say will charge them billions in profits even as their main competition in Europe and Japan face fewer limits on sales to China.
