The Director General of Health says the threat to the network is low after two travelers to Belgium and Japan proved it on arrival after being in New Zealand and Singapore.

Dr. Ashley Bloomfield stated that the first case concerned a user who recently visited Rotorua and Taup before leaving for Japan on August 8. These facilities are low risk. This user transited through Singapore.
He said that 11 of the person’s thirteen close contacts have been contacted through the physical fitness government and are self-insulated, with ongoing or completed tests.
The case at the time considers a user who travelled to Belgium on 6 August and also transited through Singapore.
Dr. Bloomfield stated that this case had been in contact and felt isolated.
Dr. Bloomfield stated that neither of them was asymptomatic while in New Zealand and that evidence of his close contacts was negative.
“Both cases are low threat and to date there is no evidence of transmission or that they were infectious,” he said.
“We are contact studies and close contact tests. “
Public fitness firm Toi Te Ora said earlier in the day that the user who had visited Japan had visited tourists in Rotorua and Taup:
Dr Neil de Wet, a health medical officer, said, “If you were in one of those places at those dates and times, there’s a little one who’s been exposed.
“You want to monitor yourself for Covid-19 symptoms, and if you expand symptoms, you immediately isolate yourself and get tested.
