Turkey’s production industry expansion has been in February 2011

(RTTNews) – Turkey’s production sector grew in July at the fastest rate since February 2011, due to a recovery from the disruptions of the Covid-19 pandemic, knowledge of an IHS Markit survey showed Tuesday.

The purchasing managers’ index of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry in Turkey, or PMI, rose to 56.9 in July from 53.9 in June. Any reading above 50 indicates one in the industry.

New orders so far went up in july, the fastest expansion rate since the survey began in June 2005. New export orders went up, albeit to a lesser extent.

Production grew at the fastest rate since February 2011 and production was higher for a month in a row.

Work arrears are highest since August 2017. Employment and activity increase in July due to increased production needs.

Higher delivery times in July with transport restrictions due to the Pandemic Covid-19 and higher inputs.

Input values rose sharply in July, albeit at a more moderate rate, and manufacturers’ value inflation accelerated.

“PMI’s knowledge at the beginning of the moment comes from the recovery from the COVID-19 slowdown is solidifying,” said Andrew Harker, IHS Markit’s director of economics.

“Growth will help recover some of the production it lost during the recession, but will want to sustain itself for a longer era to ensure a full recovery,” Harker said.
