Turkey reports more than 29,700 coronavirus cases

ANKARA

Turkey informed the Health Ministry on Wednesday of more than 29,700 new coronavirus cases.

According to official figures, a total of 29,762 cases have been registered nationwide, 1,142 symptomatic patients.

The daily number of cases rose from 26,182 infections reported on Tuesday, totaling 1,006 symptomatic patients.

The total number of cases in Turkey now exceeds 3 million, while the national death toll has reached 30,462, with 146 more deaths recorded in the past day, up 8 from Tuesday.

A total of 17,761 more patients have won the war against the virus, up from 19,201 on Tuesday, bringing the total number of recoveries to more than 2. 88 million.

Nearly 37 million coronavirus tests have been conducted in Turkey, totaling 221,738 since Tuesday.
