Trump’s national security adviser tests Covid-19

President Donald Trump’s national security adviser, Robert O’Brien, tested positive for coronavirus, making him the highest-ranking official positive yet.

That’s according to two people familiar with the situation who spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss it by name.

The White House showed that O’Brien had mild symptoms and was “self- isolating and fleeing from an offsite location,” adding that “there is no threat of exposure to the president or vice president” and that “the National Security Council paintings continue uninterrupted.”

The news was first reported through Bloomberg News, which reported that O’Brien had stuck the virus after a family circle event.

Non-public camera assistance from the president and the vice president’s press secretary have already tested positive for the virus, which has now inflamed more than four million people across the country.

Senior White House staff and anyone who makes close contact with the president and vice president undergo tests for the virus.
