WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U. S. President Donald Trump will hold a rite on September 15 to signal a revolutionary agreement in the Middle East that normalizes between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, a senior White House official said Tuesday.
As a component of the agreement, announced to the White House on 13 August after what officials called 18 months of talks, the Gulf State agreed to become widespread with Israel, while Israel agreed to continue its plan to suspend its annexation of the West Bank. Training
The senior White House official, speaking on an anonymity, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan would lead the two delegations to the ceremony.
“I am proud to be in Washington next week, at President Trump’s invitation, to participate in this historic rite in the White House for the founding of the peace treaty between Israel and the United Arab Emirates,” Netanyahu wrote. Twitter.
Trump and other management officials said they expected Saudi Arabia and other countries to do the same with Israel.
Trump’s senior adviser, Jared Kushner, and senior management officials accompanied an Israeli delegation last week on Israel’s first flight to the United Arab Emirates to conclude the deal.
Iran rejected the agreement, which also served as opposition to Tehran, a regional force identified through the United Arab Emirates, Israel and the United States as the greatest risk in the Middle East.
The agreement does not correspond to any Primary Middle East peace plan aimed at resolving decades of confrontation between Israel and the Palestinians despite Trump’s commitment to do so.
The White House expects other similar agreements between Israel and the Gulf states to emerge, prompting the Palestinians to subscribe to the negotiations.
Trump proposed a peace plan in January that greatly favored israelis, but made significant progress.
Palestinian leaders first called the agreement a “betrayal” and a “backstick in the Palestinian cause,” but reduced their criticism, according to a draft solution presented Wednesday by the Arab League Assembly in Cairo.
The draft, reported through Reuters, comes with a call to convict or act against the Emirates for the agreement negotiated through the United States.
The United Arab Emirates plans to make its first officer to Israel on 22 September, a source close to the provisional address said Monday.
