Trump Says US May Distribute At Least 100 Million Doses Of COVID Vaccine By End Of 2020

WASHINGTON – U. S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that at least one hundred million doses of a coronavirus vaccine could be distributed in the United States until late 2020, months earlier than a senior government fitness official had predicted earlier in the day.

“As soon as the FDA approves the vaccine matrix . . . we will distribute a hundred million doses until the end of 2020 and many much earlier,” Trump said at a press conference.

Earlier Wednesday, Robert Redfield, director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said that a COVID-19 vaccine could be widely deployed by the middle of next year or a little later (report via Alexandra Alper; written via Doina Chiacu; Edited via Sandra Maler)
